TriUnity Foundation Announces 2026 National Gala Inviting Credit Unions and Partners to Support Members Facing Terminal Illness

The TriUnity Foundation, a nationwide, credit union-led nonprofit, has announced that its 2026 Gala, Shine Together: Lighting the Way in Diamonds & Denim, will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Celebrations on the River in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The annual gala is TriUnity Foundation’s signature gathering, inviting credit unions, credit union industry partners (including vendors and leagues), and individuals from across the country to come together in support of families facing the financial strain of terminal illness.

Founded by St. Cloud Financial Credit Union in Minnesota, TriUnity Foundation was created as a national model designed by credit unions, for the nation’s credit unions. Through a unique partner-based approach, participating credit unions contribute funds that are then granted directly back to their own members, ensuring meaningful local impact while advancing a shared national mission.

“TriUnity was built on a simple but powerful idea: when credit unions come together, we can meet members with compassion in moments when financial stress compounds medical crisis,” said LeAnn Case, Board Chair of the TriUnity Foundation. “This gala is an invitation—to show up, to stand alongside families in their hardest seasons, and to demonstrate what cooperative care really looks like.”

Funds raised through TriUnity Foundation help cover essential expenses such as housing, transportation, and medical-related costs, allowing credit union members and their families to focus on care, connection, and time together rather than financial uncertainty.

The 2026 Gala will be hosted in partnership with Altra Federal Credit Union, whose leadership and support reflect the cooperative spirit at the heart of TriUnity’s mission.

“We are grateful to Altra Federal Credit Union for hosting this year’s gala,” Case added. “Their partnership underscores the role credit unions play—not just as financial institutions, but as anchors of care and dignity in the communities they serve.”

The evening will include dinner, entertainment, an auction, and powerful stories from grant recipients whose lives have been impacted through TriUnity Foundation support.

Credit unions, credit union industry partners, and individuals are invited to attend through sponsorship opportunities, table purchases, or individual tickets. Event details and participation options are available at www.TriUnityFoundation.org/Events or by contacting Foundation@scfcu.org.
