TriUnity Foundation is proud to announce it is adding to its Board of Directors following a unanimous vote.
The Board of Directors has named Joel Swanson II as the newest addition, joining the Board while serving as President and CEO of Associated Healthcare Credit Union.
“As we intentionally build a board that reflects both influence and lived connection to the medical community, Joel’s appointment represents an important step forward,” said LeAnn Case, Board Chair of TriUnity Foundation. “His experience spanning healthcare systems and mission-driven financial institutions uniquely positions him to help guide TriUnity’s future — particularly as we work toward leveraging our grant data to better understand how financial support can positively affect health outcomes. We are honored to welcome Joel to the board.”
Swanson brings more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of financial services, healthcare and purpose-driven organizations.
His career includes senior leadership and advisory roles with Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, UnitedHealth Group, and healthcare and financial services clients at Risdall Marketing Group. Across these roles, he has successfully focused on building sustainable growth, strengthening trust, and advancing organizations that exist to serve people in moments that matter most.
In his current role with Associated Healthcare Credit Union, Swanson leading a mission-driven financial institution dedicated to supporting the banking needs of healthcare workers across Minnesota’s nationally recognized healthcare ecosystem.
Swanson looks forward to bringing his experience and passion to the TriUnity Foundation to live into the foundation’s mission of empowering hope, healing and strength while eliminating the financial strain for those facing a life-threatening illness.
"Joining the TriUnity Foundation Board is deeply personal for me. As a teenager, I saw firsthand how a terminal illness can devastate a family — not only through loss, but through the financial and emotional strain that follows,” Swanson said.
“As a credit union CEO, I believe our movement exists for moments like these: to show up with compassion, dignity and practical help when people need it most,” Swanson continued. “TriUnity Foundation puts that belief into action.”
