Your members can apply for grants, awarded by a dedicated Advisory Committee comprised of individuals with personal experiences in caring for or facing a terminal illness diagnosis. These grants cover essential payments like their home, car, or credit cards. This is a straightforward solution, eliminating the need to create your own program. There’s no complex process or exhausting regulatory IRS restrictions for you. Plus, you get a brand Marketing Kit that positions you as the guiding force in making such a meaningful difference. Our goal is to give back at least 90% of your donation directly to members in need. For example, delaying breast cancer surgery for 1,000 women results in: - **4-week** **delay:** 10 additional deaths - **8-week delay:** 20 additional deaths - **12-week delay:** 31 additional deaths ## A Debt Spiral There is a concerning “debt spiral” experienced by patients facing terminal illnesses, making them nearly 300% more likely to declare bankruptcy. Those who declare bankruptcy due to financial toxicity have a 79% greater risk of early mortality. ## Financial Toxicity and Racial Disparities The financial toxicity of life-threatening illnesses is a burden disproportionately borne by minority groups.
